Takata Driver Airbag Inflator (NADI) Voluntary Safety Recall

Audi Australia is conducting an urgent safety recall for vehicles which may potentially contain a Takata non-azide (NADI) driver airbag inflator about which the component supplier of the airbag inflator has raised concerns.

According to the component supplier, certain Takata Driver Airbag Inflators (NADI) manufactured between May 1995 and August 1999 may be faulty and, if installed in your vehicle, may kill or injure the driver or passengers in your vehicle.

Is my Vehicle Affected by the Urgent Safety Recall?

Check your VIN online using our VIN checker tool. This will confirm whether your vehicle is part of the voluntary recall and needs an inspection to determine whether it is fitted with a Takata Driver Airbag Inflator (NADI) about which the component supplier has raised concerns.
Take care when you enter the VIN details of your Audi. Failure to input these correctly could return an incorrect result.

Updating Your Details

As part of the recall process, Audi Australia notifies registered owners of affected vehicles by mail. Audi urges all customers in Australia to contact the Audi Takata Information Line on 1800 856 770 between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday (AEDT) to update their contact details.
Alternatively, customers can submit an Online Owner Amendment Form.
